Our Story
OKOKAI was founded in November 2024 with a simple thesis: AI is finally good enough to be a friend, not just a tool. But "good enough" doesn't make it right by default. The difference between a chatbot and a companion is care, memory, and boundaries.
We're building two flagship apps under the AI Friend banner:
Both are launching on the App Store and Google Play with strict 18+ policies. Both are built with privacy-first architecture: your conversations are encrypted, deletable at any moment, and never used to train public models.

Encrypted conversations, deletable anytime, never sold, never used to train public models. We'd rather lose users than lose their trust.
Boundaries over engagement
18+ only. Strict content policies. Crisis resources surfaced when needed. We don't want HER or Kevin to be the only relationship in your life — we want to be a good one.
